Concept Development and Research

In this phase of my assignment I have been researching to try and see if i could find any CD packaging companies that might have had any online examples of some of their work. This would have been of great help to me and in doing so I did learn quite a bit about how packaging actually works and what the do's and dont's are when one is trying to make one for himself.

Whilst browsing I came across a company called 'Forge NZ' they are a company that specialize in that sort of Media and are very well recognized in our country, they work with some major artists and manufacture their albums in bulk. After speaking with them about what i was wanting to do it really made my mind a lot more clearer with how i should approach my solution. It was definitely to expensive to have them produce my concept for just the 5 pieces so i've taken on further research.

Forge however, quite liked my ideas and said it was very possible to build these and they would be easily mass producible. They were generous enough to give me a whole back of CD trays to get me started.
