This is the first testing phase of my product, i needed to make sure that the swivel would work well together that it would not fall apart and right fully i found quite a number of glitches.
Because the way my concept works is so that it has three levels i wasnt able to drill a hole right through carefully enough to secure the pin for the swivel part of my product.
It lead to cracking the cd tray quite severly so it could not be used any further, this would prove to be quite a serious problem for me because i have to find a way to hold it all together without damaging the materials or that would depreciate the value of my solution.
I need to research the materials that i am using are the best and most effective materials i can use for my design, my wood had two different sides on it to symbolize different feelings when the user is holding the product in their hands. Maybe the drill needed to be drilled in from a certain direction or maybe one layer at a time, these are things im going to try and explore in time.
I managed to drill a hole here right through, when i drilled it but the rivets when shot in crack the cd tray and quite noticeably damage the wood.
