Semester Two - Sound Walk

Second Semester at uni, for our first project we're studying Audio. When i first heard this i understood that we were studying audio engineering which in a way is what we're doing but then after further discussion and understand i understood that we were exploring in innovative sound making and listening. This week we have gone on two different trips. Sound walk and to the sound Chamber.

The Sound walk was a rather interesting task that we did, At first when I found out what we were doing I wasnt very excited in fact I was just very down about it and wasnt in the mood to walk around the city. But then listening to what our tutor had to say about listening to the different sounds in the city and how each person has a different frequency and hear different things really caught my attention. The sound walk has picked on my brain ever since and I now constantly find myself concentrating to see what are the different sounds i can hear in my immediate environment.

I have taken on the task to do further research to see how a task like this can help assist researchers or sound makers.
